Andrew Barnett founded Linea in 2013 and sources from organic, regenerative, and biodynamic farms. As of October 2026 roasting happens at 1125 Mariposa Street in Potrero Hill, where a café shares the building, and the other café is at 3417 18th Street in the Mission.
The roastery's Organic Ethiopia Gotiti Reserve won a 2026 Good Food Award, Linea's fourth. In October 2026 the online shop lists lots from Ethiopia, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, and India.
