Outer Sunset roaster that began in a 600-square-foot café.

Lauren Crabbe, a former Blue Bottle lead barista, and Michael McCrory started Andytown in 2014 on Lawton Street, where roasting, baking, and service shared one room. A Taraval Street site is now the roastery and training lab, and as of October 2026 there are nine cafés in San Francisco, from Lawton Street to 66 Kearny Street in FiDi, plus one more in Menlo Park.

The Wind & Sea blend combines Colombian and Ethiopian lots, and the online shop also sells single origins from Burundi, Mexico, and Indonesia. The company says it is a WBENC-certified women-owned business and a San Francisco Green Business.

At this shop

The shop fills a teal-painted corner building at 3655 Lawton Street in the Outer Sunset, with a wooden bench built into the front wall under white-framed windows. Inside, a curved counter clad in diagonal wood planks runs down the narrow room, and customers order at it beneath a row of high windows along the side wall.
