In 2014, Dave Feng designed and built the Hario V60 pour-over set-up, and the shop poured Ruby Coffee Roasters of Wisconsin, then available nowhere else in the Bay Area. Filmmaker Eugene Kim opened Snowbird with Feng in November 2014, in the former Drip'd Coffee Lab space.
On 9th Avenue, a wood-clad counter with the pastry case and espresso machine runs the length of the narrow room, so ordering and drink-making happen along one line from the door to the back. The floor is concrete.
