Brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison, from southern Oregon, began building the 7th Street space in 2009 and opened it in full in 2011. It holds the production roastery, a coffee bar, company headquarters, and the training lab, which runs barista training and a public tasting every Friday.
Owl’s Howl, the flagship espresso blend, goes into every espresso drink at the cafés. In October 2026 the single origins come from Colombia, Ethiopia, Honduras, Kenya, and Mexico. Cafés are in San Francisco, Berkeley, and Hollywood as of fall 2026.
