Japanese Tea Garden

About

Built for the 1894 California Midwinter International Exposition, this three-acre garden is the oldest public Japanese garden in the United States. Makoto Hagiwara ran it from 1895 and imported its koi. It has ponds, paths, a pagoda, and a teahouse.
