Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption

The 1970 cathedral replaced one lost to fire in 1962. Pier Luigi Nervi and Pietro Belluschi joined the design team. A saddle roof of eight hyperbolic paraboloid segments rises 190 feet, topped by a 55-foot gold cross.
